“We’re going to get the drugs now,” a 4-year-old boy says on a video tape turned over to McKean Township, Pa., police. The tape shows the mother paying a teen-aged pusher for some marijuana, then the lad saying “I want a hit! I want a hit! I want a hit!” The boy had difficulty lighting the pipe, but finally got it going and took a long drag as his mom watched from the background. The mother, Mary Jane Kline, 40, has been charged with corrupting a minor. The boy has been placed in foster care.
