This is True

Point in Favor of Small Cars

Lance Land, a police officer in Waxhaw, N.C., was on patrol when he noticed a two seater sports car stalled on the railroad tracks, with a train coming. In the car was Jan Elmore and her 3-year-old son, who during the entire ordeal chanted “Mommy, the train is going to smush us. The train is going to smush us” in a “singsong voice”. Land ran over and pushed the car off the tracks with about one second to spare. “I’ve been telling people, I’m glad it wasn’t a Cadillac,” he said. (AP) ...Then again, if it were a Cadillac, it probably wouldn’t have stalled on the tracks.
