As Cassie Hughes settled into her seat for her flight from Denver to Los Angeles, she noticed the carrier with her poodle, Fifi, was being loaded into another plane. When she complained to flight attendants, she was assured it was another dog, not hers. When Hughes demanded to be let off the plane to check, she says she was offered a drink instead. Fifi ended up in Nebraska, so Hughes has sued United Airlines for false imprisonment and intentional infliction of emotional distress. United has offered $1,200 for her “lost baggage claim,” but Hughes’ complaint asks for $5 million. (AP) ...Fifi would probably be better off in Nebraska.
