Police in the Westminster district of London are warning local prostitutes to stop putting advertising placards in telephone booths. Despite the weekly removal of 150,000 placards, with slogans such as “Spank Me” and “Schoolgirl Needs Firm Hand”, the ads are quickly replaced with new ones. Police have worked out a plan with telephone company officials that hookers who do not stop placing the placards will have their incoming telephone calls blocked. “The council’s argument, in this case, is not with prostitution as such, but with people who illegally litter and deface the city’s streets,” said Robert Moreland of the Westminster Council. (UPI) ...Uh oh: I see the birth of a huge new direct male campaign.
