This is True

Prove It

“They were curious about how valid this bulletproof vest was,” says Sgt. Steve Saunders of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Two men in Swan River, Man., set to find out. First, the vest's owner, an unidentified 20-year-old man, asked his friend to shoot him in the chest with a .22 caliber rifle. When that went without a hitch, they decided to try a 12 gauge shotgun. For a little extra cushioning, they stuffed a telephone book under the vest. Even with that, the impact was so great that the man suffered cracked ribs from the blast. “It begs the question what were they thinking,” Saunders said. The RCMP does not plan to file criminal charges, but are asking a court to ban the men from owning firearms. (Canadian Press) ...Let them have guns. Just don't let them have bulletproof vests.
