The World Boxing Organization has advanced Darrin Morris’s ranking from 11th to fifth in the super-middleweight division. Morris has not fought since July 1999, and died in October 2000. “He’s dead? That surprises me,” said the WBO’s Gordon Volkman. A team of three judges, including Volkman, assigns the organization’s ratings. “Today’s people expect us to keep up with these things,” Volkman, who is 70, said. “It’s impossible.” (Chicago Sun Times) ...Nothing’s impossible: Morris voted for Gore last November, too.
