While comedian Rickey Smiley was doing his stand-up act at the Comedy Cafe in Macon, Ga., Glenn Matthews, 43, jumped up on stage, grabbed the microphone and, in perhaps the weirdest bout of heckling in history, confessed to the audience that he had robbed several banks. When the police arrived he denied making the confession, but when he was later confronted with multiple witness statements from the audience members Matthews confessed to the cops, too. He was charged with three counts of armed robbery. How did the audience take the interruption? “They thought it was hilarious,” said club owner Mike Smith. “They wanted to know if we’ll do it again.” (Reuters) ...Only if you’re willing to pay his bail.
