A 35-year-old Japanese man sued his bride for 4.5 million yen (US$38,100) for not performing her wifely duties — cooking, cleaning and laundry. The woman, who has a full-time job, separated from her husband soon after their wedding when she learned of his demands, and they are now divorced.
