Scenes from the Drug War IIActing on a tip from a drug informant, police officers raided a house in Lebanon, Tenn. They found a woman and handcuffed her, then continued to search. “I said, ‘Y’all have got the wrong person, you’ve got the wrong place. What are you looking for?” said Loraine Adams, 70. Adams, 61, died from his wounds, and police discovered they were at the wrong house. “I thought it was a home invasion,” Mrs. Adams said of the sudden presence of the armed men, who turned out to be police officers. “We did the best surveillance we could do,” said Lebanon Police chief Billy Weeks.
