Send in the Clowns

Police in Los Angeles chased down a stolen car while the driver, dressed in “full clown regalia”, waived at onlookers and TV camera crews through his open window. Police say the jester had been working at a party and had been drinking, and stole the car when his girlfriend refused to give him a ride home. Meanwhile, a U.S. Border Patrol helicopter monitoring the U.S./Mexico boundary near El Paso, Texas, was flagged down by a man dressed in a clown suit, complete with face paint, a rainbow wig, and a blue rubber nose. The unidentified Honduran national paid his way from his home to the U.S. by doing shows along his route, but “he just decided he made a mistake and wanted to be back with his family” and asked to be deported, a Border Patrol spokeswoman said. “He seemed in pretty good spirits. He was quite funny.” (UPI, Reuters) ...The hell he “made a mistake.” He knows the ride back is free, and his publicity stunt will make him a celebrity in Honduras.
