Former Japanese Prime Minister Ryutaro Hashimoto may be trying to stage a comeback. That upsets legislator Makiko Tanaka, who has some ideas to keep Hashimoto out. “We should assign such former prime ministers, who are far from humble, to work abroad as specially designated ambassadors or whatever,” Tanaka said. “If they cannot manage that, we should strap them to satellites.” Hashimoto in particular “should be taken out into space by satellite and left in orbit.” (Reuters) ...We tried that with Jake Garn, but he made it back anyway.
