Smile at the Birdie

Police in Burbank, Calif., are searching for a man who used a parrot to try to lure a young girl to his car. The 14-year-old girl was playing in a park when the bird flew up to her and told her, “What a pretty girl you are!” The man then asked the girl if she wanted a part in his parrot show, or if she’d like the bird to kiss her. When she refused both offers, the man tried to grab her and drag her into his car; another girl helped her escape. The man is described as about 40, 5’11 and white. The parrot is described as peach and yellow. (UPI) ...I trust he has also taught the bird to say, “I decline to answer that question on the grounds that it may incriminate me.”
