A popular Norwegian TV show called Baren (The Bar) follows 10 people around the clock as they work in a bar — and off duty in their apartment above the bar. While the stars were at work recently, a burglar broke into the apartment. TV producers rushed in and caught the thief, who denied everything until he was shown the apartment was equipped with 17 TV cameras and told everything he had done was on tape. The show decided not to press charges after “some of the participants said they almost felt sorry for him because he was so unlucky or stupid,” a producer said.
