Police in Switzerland have tried for eight years to deport a Somalia with a record of theft and drug offenses, but each time they have been thwarted. Most recently, authorities in Somalia refused to accept the man over health concerns. “He had been on a hunger strike for four days,” acknowledged a Swiss police spokesman. “Maybe next time we’ll use a parachute,” he added.
