Amir Brikho, 38, needed some cash. So he stopped at Valle de Oro Bank in La Mesa, Calif., and made a large withdrawal. The teller gave Brikho the cash, but as he left the bank he heard a loud bang — the teller had accidentally given him a special packet of bills loaded with dye and tear gas that’s supposed to be given to robbers. “I thought somebody shot me,” Brikho said. Then he noticed “smoke was coming from my shorts.” After being treated for burns at a local hospital, Brikho notes “now it is funny, but at the time it was serious.” (AP) ...When he sees the bank’s fee for the packet he used, it’ll be serious again.
