With ABC currently winning the ratings wars thanks to Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, other networks are trying to figure out how to compete. The United Paramount Network is shooting back with I Dare You, which it promotes as “the most dangerous new show of the millennium.” Network executives say that if someone is killed on camera, the death won’t be aired. But injuries are a different matter. “Everything will be taken on a case-by-case basis,” says series creator Bruce Nash. “It depends on what seriously injured’ means.
