This Won’t Hurt a Bit

Researchers at the Anuradhapura Hospital in Sri Lanka have come up with a new anti-venin for victims of the Russell’s viper, one of many poisonous snakes in the region. But to win government approval, they must test the new potion on at least 75 bite victims by the end of October, and they’re behind schedule. “We are desperately in need of victims,” one of the doctors in the study said. “The victims don’t have to be Sri Lankan. Anyone is welcome.” (Reuters) ...Everyone needs to pitch in: if you are bitten, book a flight immediately.
