This is True

Twelve Shows, Rerun Constantly

Bill Moses expects people to make jokes about his new TV channel, the Recovery Network. “If people can make fun of us, that’s a good thing,” he insists. The cable channel is for alcoholics and other substance abusers who don’t want to go to meetings, such as those put on by Alcoholics Anonymous. “By delivery into the privacy of one’s home, you get rid of a lot of the stigma and hesitation” of seeking help, Moses says. Moses is quick to add that the channel will be “sensitively selective” about the advertising it accepts. No beer commercials. (AP) ...Sure hope there will be a lengthy series dealing with television addiction.
