Where’s the Beef?

Sheriff deputies in Macomb County, Mich., are pondering what charges, if any, might be levied against a Macomb Township couple — perhaps “assault with a deadly vegetable”. First, the husband complained that his dinner wasn’t ready on time because his wife had spent the afternoon drinking with a friend. The wife responded by whacking him with a cucumber, the man says, showing a welt on his head as proof. He hit her back, she said, showing her own bruises. The man was arrested, but the wife, who had a .10 percent blood-alcohol level, was not. “I don’t mean to make light of domestic violence but yeah, it is a strange one,” said Detective Sgt. John Michalke. “We will write it all up and present it to the prosecutor for possible charges,” Michalke said. (UPI) ...A charge of “sexism” might be applicable in there somewhere.
