Researchers at South Carolina’s Clemson University say they have made progress in their state-funded quest to make chicken manure smell better: they’re adding garlic powder to the fowl’s feed. “It makes the poultry house smell like a pizzeria instead of manure,” says professor Glenn Birrenkott. And, he adds, their eggs taste better. (AP) ...Then let’s try adding butter to their diets so the eggs won’t stick to the pan.
