When a man called for “Kennedy” on his cell phone, Jeff Jackson of the Cayman Islands told the caller he had the wrong number and hung up. The phone rang again. The same man insisted he had the right number, and wanted to buy cocaine. Jackson took the caller’s number and said someone would get back to him. Jackson happens to be the deputy chief of the combined Police and Customs Drugs Task Force for the Caymans. He passed the information to an undercover officer, who arrested Canadians Jason Robertson, 26, and Thomas Valliere, 24, for attempting to buy drugs. They were fined $1,000. (Reuters) ...Finally: authorities who take the wrong number problem seriously.
