A police officer in Waukesha, Wisc., was trying to kill a skunk with his shotgun. At the same time, Gary V. Strasburg was out walking his dog when he heard a blast. “You shot me!” he screamed to the officer after he was hit by stray pellets. The officer said he'd be right over — after putting the dead skunk in a bag. “Who's more important, a dead skunk or me?” an angry Strasburg asked later.
