Woo Whee!

Max Baer Jr., who played “Jethro” on the 1960s TV series The Beverly Hillbillies, is getting closer to building his Reno, Nev., casino based on the series. For instance, says Baer, who’s now in his 60s, the “All You Can Et Buffet” will feature extra-large “Jethro hot dogs on Ellie May’s buns.” The “Shot-gun Wedding Chapel” will feature an optional “Granny” character shooting a scattergun during ceremonies, plus rental bridal gowns with special padding to make the brides appear pregnant. That’s not the only planned padding: “We’re going to have waitresses dressed like Ellie May but padded like Dolly Parton!” enthused Baer. Tacky? “Hee Haw was tacky and was on 14 years. Beverly Hillbillies was tacky and was a number-one show,” Baer figures. (Reuters) ...Tacky would be a vast improvement.
