Police in Hanover, Germany, say an 85-year-old woman paid a spiritualist 10,000 marks after the medium said her dead husband needed the money to pay off gambling debts he incurred in heaven. Apparently emboldened by his success, the mystic then told her he needed 100,000 marks for her husband to buy a plot of land in heaven.
