You May Already Have Won Your Lawsuit

A customer service manager has sued her employer, charging emotional distress. Anne Curran says her job was to tell people who thought they won when they received magazine sales house American Family Publishers’ “You May Already Be a Winner” letters that they in fact were not instant millionaires. Curran charges some people were so upset at learning they hadn’t won that she got death threats. In response to the suit her employer, Time Customer Service, an AFP contractor hired to answer the publisher’s mail and phone, has counter-sued Curran, charging she has disclosed proprietary information.
