Your Weekend is Blown

It may not just be your imagination that it rains more on weekends, say researchers at Arizona State University. They studied weather patterns on the east coast of the U.S. and found it indeed is more rainy on the weekends, and it’s people’s fault. “The human week is not a natural time period," said ASU’s Robert Balling Jr. A “human effect on weather is the only explanation.” Pollution from the eastern seaboard wafting over the Atlantic to “seed” clouds is the trigger, they say, and the effect may be as great as the dreaded “El Niņo” phenomenon. (Reuters) ...To help even out weather patterns, researchers are urging easterners to make heavy use of smoky barbeques every weekend.
